Who we are

HibiTrip ("HibiTrip", "we", "us") is a travel companion app and website operated by RTV Group. This policy applies to the HibiTrip mobile apps (iOS and Android) and to hibitrip.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier from that provider.
• Location data — with your permission, we use your device's location to center the map, suggest nearby points of interest, and record places you visit.
• Content you create — wishlists, saved places, notes, and photos you attach to a place.
• Usage data — basic analytics such as screens viewed and features used, to help us fix bugs and prioritize improvements.
• Device information — OS version, device model, and app version, for crash reporting and compatibility.

How we use your information

• To provide core features: the interactive map, wishlists, visited-places history, and photo attachments.
• To power AI-based recommendations for places you might like.
• To operate map tiles and search via our mapping providers (OpenStreetMap and, where applicable, MapTiler).
• To communicate with you about your account, support requests, or account-deletion requests.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the service.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf (cloud hosting, crash reporting, map tile providers), under contracts that limit their use of your data.
• Apple and Google, when you use Sign in with Apple/Google, per their own privacy policies.
• Authorities, if required by law.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time from the app's Help screen, or by contacting us (see below). We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Children's privacy

HibiTrip is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
